Becky gained her BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy in 2006. She initially worked within the National Health Service in the UK, but soon found her way into Private Practice, assessing and treating a variety of musculo-skeletal conditions. Becky quickly went on to gain post graduate training in acupuncture.
A love of animals enabled Becky to completed her Post Graduate Diploma in Veterinary Physiotherapy from the Royal Veterinary College in London in 2010. She has since maintained her professional development with a variety of conferences and courses to improve her skills and knowledge base.
Her love of outdoor sports and horse riding led her to start focusing on body movement and patterning, which provided the basis for her to gain her APPI Modified Pilates Instruction Certification for both Matwork and Large Equipment alongside a baseline Yoga Rehabilitation Certification and Yoga Renew 200hrs Certification for Yoga Alliance Instruction. She has since completed a number of professional development training programs to enhance her Pilates Instruction and Professional Clinical Reasoning in both areas of movement control.
Becky's professional focus for the next 5 years is on Cancer Rehabilitation, Pelvic health and Visceral Manipulation; alongside maintaining her professional development, diversity and ongoing skill sets in Veterinary Physiotherapy with a particular focus on Horse : Rider Effective Communication through body language.
Being a Mum, she knows about the toil pregnancy, birth and post-natal life can have on your body, energy and mental health. Becky provides women's health physiotherapy and can help with many concerns regarding incontinence, stomach/body changes and pelvic floor adaptions pre and post baby. She is a Certified Pelvic Physiotherapist able to fit an re-fit pessaries for prolapse - do not hesitate to get in touch with any concerns. Becky is also certified to support men who may be having trouble with erectile dysfunction, bowel or bladder issues or post prostrate surgery.
Becky has now finished a Diploma in Nutrition to compliment the work she already does and can now combine these skills into her service provision.
Out of work Becky can be found running around (literally) with her two boys Richie and Marcus and Golden Retriever Monty or you may spot her at the local pool, doing her regular "set". I have been through significant health changes myself and am keen to do a sprint triathlon in the next couple of years with the goal to do an iron man....one day!!!!
